Rajiv Gandhi Medical College, located in Thane district of Maharashtra, was started in 1992. Affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, the medical college is approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI), New Delhi. Rajiv Gandhi Medical College is run and managed by the Thane Municipal Corporation. A hospital, with the capacity of 500 beds, is also combined with the educational institution. The college conducts an undergraduate level course, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), in the field of medical sciences.
