University Institute of Engineering & Technology (UIET) was established by Kurukshetra University in 2004 as a "Centre of Excellence" to provide quality education in engineering & technology fromt he State of Haryana for UG & PG programmes. The institute is serving as a nodal agency for the matters of academic importance like, development of scheme of examination, syllabus, academic plan and maintenance of standards in affiliated Engineering colleges and is headed by Director and Dean Engineering & Technology. On the basis of academic strength and considerable expertise available in university departments, UIET decided to start B.Tech. degree programme in the technically important disciplines of Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Biotechnology, Mechanical Engineering was added during session 2007-08.
Admission Procedure
Seat Distribution
85% of the total intake will be filled through merit in AIEEE for Haryana State merit for which the counseling will be done be Department of Technical Education of Haryana.
15% of the total intake will be filled through merit in AIEEE All India Rank for outside Haryana Candidates.
Eligibility:
The candidate should have aggregate 50% in 10+2 with compulsory subjects Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & Computer Science.
